«LINS» FUND IS OUR HOPE
Support A1+!Although the Kievyan brigde is being reconstructed, the tram lines which are no longer used will not be deconstructed. «We have calculatied that if the lines are deconstructed, 2.5 times more money is needed for reconstructing that part of the street than the money gained from the selling of the metal. That is, it is not profitable, and we need investments. We hope that the «Lins» fund will allot money», Yervand Zakharyan, the Yerevan mayor brought these reasons for not deconstructing the tram lines.
The mayor noted that by the 2005 social-economical activity program of the municipality and the communities, in the first 3-month period works of 10009.636 million dram were envisaged, and works of 10030.369 million drams have been done, that is – 100.21% of what was envisaged. The main sources of finance were «the state budget, the social security payments and other sources».
Without detailing the «other sources», the mayor mentioned that in the 2005 first 3-month period the community profits have been fulfilled by 85% which, according to Yervand Zakharyan, has been improved for 1.2% as compaired to last year.
