THE CATHOLICOS RECEIVED THE IRANI MOUNTAINEERS
Support A1+!Garegin II Catholicos of All Armenian received in the Holy Echmiadzin the mountaineers from Iran who in memory of the Genocide victims climbed up Ararat and Sipan on April 24.
Greeting the mountaineers, His Holiness voiced confidence that they initiative will have its role on the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.
«Every Armenian has the image of Ararat in his soul wherever he might live. Ararat is sacred mountain for the Armenians not only are the mountain where the Noah Ark found refuge. It symbolizes the eternity for our nation», said the Catholicos of All Armenians blessing the mountaineer.
The Irani mountaineers gave the Catholicos a stone brought from Ararat.
