It turns out that the Yerevan mayor Yervand Zakharyan had postponed the reconstruction works of the park near the Chamber Music Hall for four months expecting possible complaints of the reconstruction project.

However, to his surprise, neither the heads of the Chamber Music Hall, nor the musicians, not NGOs, nor the residents, and nor even the journalists represented any complaints.

Not receiving any complaints for four months the Tax structures and the city municipality allowed the reconstruction. «Nevertheless, we took into account the complaints and allowed them to reconstruct only 15% of the 280 square meters without cutting any trees», the mayor mentioned.

Let us remind you that last week open-air actions of complaint were organized in the area near the Chamber Music Hall against the construction of a Commerce hall and a cafe there.

By the way, Yervand Zakharyan mentioned in his speech, “I guess we will soon have to stop the reconstruction of green areas”.
