INFORMATIONAL WAR CONTINUES
Support A1+!The Armenian Parliamentarians in Europe has made an offer to investigate the articles in the Armenian and Azeri press for one year. The aim of the investigation is to factually prove the journalists from which country preach murder and terror.
On October 16-19 in Geneva the 113th summit of the inter parliamentary union took place, in which the Armenian Parliamentary delegation with Hranoush Hakobyan, Alexan Karapetyan (National Unity) and Levon Mkrtchyan (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) participated.
Our parliamentarians were mainly interested in the work of the group which discussed the theme “The work of the Mass Media during conflicts and terror”. Naturally the Azeri delegates did not miss the chance to represent Armenians as usurpers and terrorists. In answer to this the Armenian delegation brought examples from the Azeri press where the Azeri officials speak about the murder of Armenians, where the assassin of the Armenian officer Ramil Safarov is represented as a national hero, and where military officers trained in Turkey speak about organizing murders in Armenia.
According to the Armenian delegates, the Azeris could give no answer to these facts.
“We managed to represent the difference of our Mass Media to those of other countries, and to prove that our journalists are very even-tempered. This is an honor for us”, secretary of the National Unity praised the Armenian journalists for the first time. He did not forget to remind that very often we complain of the same press here in Armenia.
