AN ASSAULT ON MIKAJEL DOVLATYAN
Support A1+!The national discrimination manifestations do not cease in Moscow. There was another assault on an Armenian citizen after the murder of a 17 – year - old Armenian student. This time a group of adults made an assault on the Armenian Cinematography Union secretary Mikajel Dovlatyan.
The organisers of the National Cinematography forum informed the radio station “Echo Moscow” about it. Their guest was the Armenian producer. A group of people attacked Dovlatyan beside the crossing of the metro station near the hotel “Academichkaya” in which the participants of the forum stopped. They ran away after hitting the producer’s head with a bottle.
The participants of the forum turned to the authorities on this matter. “We announce that the incidents like the assault on Mikajel Dovlatyan may have their direct impact on the development of humanitarian cooperation.”
We turn to the Russian and Moscow officials with an appeal, “Don’t allow such an outcome of events,” this is a quotation from their open letter. The letter was signed by the leaders of the Union Confederation and the leaders of the Georgian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Tajik Cinematography Unions.
