NEW TARIFFS ON GAS SINCE NEW YEAR
Support A1+!Since January 1, 2007, those consumers who use not more than 10 thousand cubic meters of gas, will pay 84 000 AMD per 1000 cubic meters, instead of the previous 90 000 AMD. And those consumers who use more than 10 thousand cubic meters of gas, will pay 153.26 USD per 1000 cubic meters, instead of the previous 127.72 USD.
The State Committee Regulating Public Relations discussed the application of «ArmRusGasArd» about revising the tariffs on natural gas and represented the above mentioned tariffs without the 25% deposit offered by the RA Government. That is to say, for the coming three years the population will buy natural gas for 59 AMD per cubic meter.
As President of the Committee Robert Nazaryan claims, the new tariffs won't threaten the common consumers. On the contrary, the prices have been reduced by 6 AMD. As for those who use more than 10 thousand cubic meters of gas monthly, according to Robert Nazaryan, the raise in the tariffs is deceptive, as if you express them in AMD, 1000 cubic meters of gas costs 36 000 AMD instead of 39 000.
The decisions of the Committee will come into force on January 1, 2007.
