NOTARY KILLED BY MENTAL PATIENT

The person who killed Vanadzor public notary Sonya Veranyan is mentally ill. Prosecutor of the region of Lori Albert Ghazaryan informed Arthur Sakunts, the head of the Helsinki Citizens Association Vanadzor office about it. Nevertheless, Sona Truzyan, the press speaker of the RA Public Prosecutor’s Office, has no such information.

The prosecutor’s office of the Lori region informs that a criminal case has been initiated. Early in the morning 45-year-old Kamo Papyan entered the office of the notary and shot her in the neck twice. The people present in the office ran away. One of them saw how the murdered got into a car and left. Kamo Papyan was arrested in the Vanadzor St. Mariam church. He has pleaded guilty.

Kamo is famous in Vanadzor as a tailor. H works in the center of the city. He took his revenge on the notary for ratifying the deal with which his father’s property was left to his sister. Prosecutor of the Lori region Albert Ghazaryan neither confirms, nor refutes the information.

52-year-old notary Sonya Veranyan was one of the best specialists in the region. All her colleagues are sorry for her death. As for where the mental penitent had got the illegal weapon, the prosecution will find out later.
