MANY ARE FOR THE OPENING OF THE FRONTIER

“Turkey seeks to establish friendly relations with all its neighbors, including Armenia based on mutual confidence and respect”, Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul announced in answer to the issues connected with the Armenian-Turkish relations after Hrant Dink’s assassination.

After Hrant Dink’s loss the issue of the Armenian-Turkish borderline opening has become urgent. “A1+” suggested its permanent readers answering the question, “Is it a must to open the Armenian-Turkish frontier?”

Over 539 people participated in the polling.

Over 52 percent of them gave a positive answer. The rest of the votes were distributed in the following way;

“Yes, only if Turkey recognizes the Armenian Genocide” – 29%

“Yes, after Turkey becomes a member to the EU” – 5%

10 % was against the opening of the Armenian-Turkish borderline and 4% couldn’t give a definite answer.
