The Selim (Sulema) mountain pass and a section of Talin-Maralik highway became impassable because of the heavy snowfall. Levon Matinyan, major of the police department of the Emergency Board, claims that all the roads of governmental importance are open.

According to the “ArmHydroMet” National Climate Research Center, the temperature will drop by 3 – 5 degrees tomorrow, and the wind speed reach 18-23 m/s. Heavy snow frosts are expected in mountainous areas and in the mountain pass.

The weather will change for the better on March 18 but because of the cold streams the temperature will be below 15°C in mountainous areas and below 3-5°C in valleys. The temperature will be below 9°C in Yerevan and Ararat valley during the day.”
