PRICE IMPULSE IS NON-MANAGABLE

Social

A saleswoman at a grocery store in Buzand Street told “A1+” that started from tomorrow prices on bread would rise. The same information was received from other stores. By the way, prices on liquid gas, flour and other food have already increased.

Armen Poghosyan, who leads the Consumers' Association, informed that the increase on the prices was the result of elections. The motivation is that the expenses of posters, advertisements and other electoral expenditures will be returned this way. Armen Poghosyan does not admit that no raise of prices was registered recently. “The price on water increased several times. We do not have trams, trolleybuses, there are only minibuses costing 100 drams. The prices on vegetables and bread are rising”.

Armen Poghosyan pointed that an Armenian citizen with average income can afford buying an apartment or a car only once in his life. 46 percent of a family budget is spent on food.

Reflecting on dollar-dram currency relations, Armen Poghosyan noted: “It’s a universal phenomenon. But in our country it is done by people possessing money”.
