PLANE DID NOT BRING CORPSE

Social

More than ten people were waiting for Moscow-Yerevan flight early in the morning on 18 June. They came to meet the corpse of 49-year old Norayr’s body in Zvartnots International Airport. The deceased lived in the Russian Federation for many years and his body was brought to Armenia to be buried in the motherland.

However, the corpse did not arrive in Yerevan that day. The psychological situation of Norayr’s mother, wife and children was indescribable on 14 June when they heard about the sudden death of their relative. “We opened all coffins but could not find our corpse. We prepared all the necessary documents, paid the fee but they did not bring it”, told Tigran, Norayr’s brother who arrived by the same airplane believing that he was bringing his brother’s body.

“Maybe they have lost it”, feared the relatives. They were informed that overloading caused that chaos. People spent the night in font of the office of the “Aeroflot” company. After a number of complaints and threats, the corpse was sent to Yerevan by the next flight.

One of the employees in the airport said to the “A1+” that this was not the first time. They have witnessed similar incidents for many times. “If you do not have your person there, you may even lose your corpse”, he mentioned.

By the way, Norayr’s relatives spent 15 thousand US dollars to bring his body to Armenia from Russia.
