The residents of the Main and the Northern Avenues, Ezhnik Koghbatsi Street and the residents of Dalma gardens, who gathered in front of the Government building today and are going to organize a protest action tomorrow on “Independence Day” in front of the RA President’s residence. “They talk about independence, that they will build a democratic state, but they do not do anything”, said Vachagan Hakobyan, head of the “Protection of Property Rights” NGO who organized the protest action together with the “Victims of State Needs” NGO.

The demonstrators demanded the Government to respond to their letter by the end of the week. The Head of the Department for Regional Administration and Local Self-Governance Khachatur Vardanyan came out to talk to the demonstrators and said: “What are you doing? We have solved the problems of many of you but you have come again and do such things”.

“We said to you that we want to talk to the Prime Minister, we have nothing to discuss with you. You started to blackmail us, and we say that you are the thief”, said one of the demonstrators.

Previously the demonstrators send letters to the NA fractions, parties, to the Government but received no answers from them. They are going to send a letter to the President next week.

The Head of the "Victims of State Needs" NGO Sedrak Baghdasaryan reflected on Ervand Zakaryan’s partial activities. “In the result of our fight the process of recognizing Firdus Street residents’ property rights has started. But they ignore the rights of Eznik Koghbatsi Street. The same concerns the residents of Buzand Street. Why did you ignore the rights of these citizens, Mr Zakaryan?”, said Sedrak Baghdasaryan.
