Today at 2:30 p.m., an escalator engaged in the construction of a new road near Nalbandian-Charents intersection, fell into the Getar River. The employees’ efforts to take the vehicle out of the hole were a failure.

Some employees were seriously engaged in work, therefore declined to answer our questions. Others said crossly, “Don’t you see what has happened? What is the use of making inquiries?”

Witnesses say the escalator fell into the hole after taking a sharp turn. “He that mischief hatches, mischief catches,” they said jokingly.
