FIRE IN GYUMRI
Support A1+!A fire broke out in house 49 belonging to L. Madoyan in the city of Gyumri, at 4:40 p.m. October 26. A fire-fighting team was sent to the scene shortly afterwards.
The fire had been caused by a gas escape followed by an explosion which resulted in the collapse of the partition and kitchen door. The hostess Seda Bareyan, 1926, was taken to hospital with moderate burns.
Doctors say her state is of average seriousness.
BODY FOUND INSIDE
An alarm was set at 12:06 October 25 that the resident of apt. 35, Estonakan str., Yerevan, had been answering neither the telephone nor the door.
At 12.50 rescuers broke down the door and found the body of Roza Cherkasova, 1938, inside the apartment.
