YOGURT PRICES TO GO UP AS WELL

Social

Some dairy-producing companies have raised prices for their products before the New Year.

“Ashtarak Milk” raised its prices on December 8, while “Marianna” raised prices for sour cream by 10-20 drams a couple of days ago.

“What can we do? We’re used to these dairy products and that’s why we buy them. But one of my neighbors prefers to buy the products of the company that hasn’t raised its prices,” said store clerk of one of the stores of Nor-Nork district Amalya Vardanyan.

Public relations correspondent of “Ashtarak Milk” Tatevik Ghabazyan told “A1+” that since 2003, the company has not raised prices for its products since 2003. According to her, they are forced to raise prices since they have purchased new equipment, milk prices have risen and have an impact on world prices. Ghabazyan said that she doesn’t exclude more inflation. “Nothing is clear because prices for everything are going up,” said Tatevik Ghabazyan. According to her, consumption is low, but not much.

Marketing correspondent of “Marianna” company Edik Harutyunyan said that the rise in prices of their products is due to the rise in gas and milk prices. Harutyunyan says that they mainly raise prices on sour cream, but yogurt prices will also go up soon.
