ARMENIAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS WILL FACE SERIOUS CHALLENGE
Support A1+!On Tuesday, Armenian Football Federation official Arthur Abrahamayn held a news conference upon his return to Yerevan from Germany where he attended junior football conference.
Abrahamyan told journalists many country’s representatives have come up with a proposal to UEFA to allow 16 instead of 8 19-year-ranging junior teams to compete in the European Cup’s final. The UEFA will discuss the issue with FIFA representatives.
European Cup’s aspirant teams were divided into groups to be seeded for the European event. Armenian 17-year football players will face rivals from Netherlands, Turkey and Wells while 19-year juniors will compete with French, Macedonian and Azeri national teams.
Armenian soccer officials put forward a proposal at the conference to hold one of the seeding rounds in Yerevan promising to ensure the Turkish and the Azeri security. The proposal was rejected.
