In the chess international tournament held in Ahvaz, Iran, Armenian chess player Tigran Qotanjyan shared the 1-3 places with Maghami Eshan and Mahjub Mortez from Iran.

Each of them had 9 points from 11 possible. Over 240 players participated in the tournament.
