ARONYAN TIED WITH LEKO

Sports

It is already the forth time Armenian grand master Levon Aronyan has tied the meeting in the chess super tournament Morelia-Linares.

Aronyan’s rival in the 4th round was Leko. The meeting was tied in the 18th step. Taking into account the fact that Leko is in close relationship with his Armenian counterparts (Leko’s wife is the daughter of Arshak Petrosyan, the coach of the Armenian team), the outcome of the meeting was quite logical.

Topolov also tied with Swidler in the 4th round. The leader of the tournament Anand beat Morozevich with white draughts. The meeting Ivanchuk-Karlsen was rather surprising as Karlsen beat Ivanchuk with black draughts.

Currently, Anand tops the fixture table with three points. Karlsen is in the second place with 2.5 points. Aronyan, Swidler, Ivanchul and Leko share the third place with two points each.
