WAITING FOR CASTING OF LOTS
Support A1+!Casting of lots for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup tournament for 2007-08 is due tomorrow in the UEFA headquarters in Neon. Armenia will present “Pyunik” for the 6-th time in the Champions League tournament.
The teams are separated into two groups according to their qualifications and “Pyunik” is in the second group, i.e. its opponent will be from the first group, where the following teams are involved: “Dinamo” (Zagreb, Croatia), “Apoel” (Cyprus), “Zilina” (Slovakia), “Domzale” (Slovenia), “Sarajevo” (Bosnia and Herzegovina), “Tampere” (Finland), “Vansplis” (Latvia), “Pobeda” (Macedonia), “Sheriff” (Moldova) etc.
“Pyunik” met three of these teams during the previous Champion League tournament. They are “Tampere”, “Sheriff” and “Pobeda”. “Pjunik” was defeated by “Sheriff” and won the other two teams.
“Banants” and “Mika” will represent Armenia during the UEFA Cup tournament.
