FUTURE OF ARMENIAN TEAM TO BE DECIDED IN ZAGREB

Armenian young judo athletes will participate in the up-to 23-year old European championship to be held on November 21 in Zagreb. The Armenian team already left for Croatia.

The Judo Federation told “A1+” that five judo athletes will play in the Armenian youth team in the European championship. Anush Hakobyan will play in the women’s team and this time she will compete against the 57 kilogram category, while 60 kg Artur Srapyan, 66 kilogram Hambartsum Tonoyan, 73 kg Robert Varadanyan, 90 kg Hakob Arakelyan will compete in the men’s team.

The championship will be held with the new order approved by the international federation, which was applied during the world youth championship held in Bangkok. According to the new order, the judo athletes who have reached at least the fourth finals may compete for the bronze medal.
