People complain of blood pressure
Medicines regulating blood pressure and heart rhythms are of great demand in chemist's shops today.
"Exacerbation of diseases is generally felt on the eve of spring. At this period people largely buy medicines regulating blood pressure. Minutes ago a woman bought two medicines for blood pressure," says pharmacist Mariana Arzumayan who works in a Yerevan chemist's.
"Mostly elderly people come to us with prescriptions. They complain of blood pressure fluctuations and heart problems," says pharmacist Valery Karapetyan.
The head of the Yerevan Ambulance Service, Artyom Petrosyan, says house calls by physicians have greatly increased over the last two months. "I cannot say definitely which diseases have exacerbated but mostly people with heart problems and traumas call an ambulance," said Mr. Petrosyan.
