What merits does the district head of Kenton commune, Gagik Beglaryan, possess to be elected Yerevan's Mayor? The question was today addressed to Yerevan civilians.

Only one of our respondents pointed out Beglaryan's most important virtue-generosity.

If Beglaryan is nominated, it means he has merits. I am not a politician to characterize him but as the proverb says: "Neither fish, nor fowl," said a citizen of Kentron commune, 45-year-old Armen.

I am not engaged in politics. Today every person thinks of his wallet. There is no one to care for people. Yerevan is a nice city but you need money to live here," said 52-year-old Martun.

"I think none of the candidates fits the post. Beglaryan is probably a punctual person devoted to his party, that's why the party has nominated him," said resident of Zeytum commune, 28-year-old Narine

Still, there are many people who wouldn't like Beglaryan to become the city mayor.

"What has Zakharyan done for the city to encourage other mayors? They jointly plundered our city," said another citizen of Kentron, 31-year-old Erwand.

"Beglaryan is seconded by the authorities and he knows that both of them can benefit each other. I think he will not better our capital," said Arabkir's resident, 42-year-old Karine.

Remind that last week the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) confirmed the party's proportional list and the candidates running for the Yerevan City Council. The list is headed by the district head of Kenton commune, Gagik Beglaryan.
