As of 8 p.m., there are three deaths and two injured as a result of the fire that broke out at the "Nairit" factory, as reported by senior nurse of the operative departament of the Ambulance Service.

More information on injured is being clarified.

At the moment, the fire at the production unit still hasn't been put out. Bagratunyats Street is closed down, yet there are piles of cars and people on the "Gortsaranayin" bridge. Families and friends of "Nairit" factory workers are asking about their relatives from people passing by the factory.

Policemen and security officials are stationed at the factory entrance and are not letting anyone come in or get out of the factory. Two eyewitnesses told "A1+" that two explosions took place and there was panic.

"The first explosion was strong followed by a weak one. Large metals fell apart and hit the building in front of the factory. When it all ended, we didn't know what happened. The first two ambulance trucks came quickly and left. Then, they came again," said eyewitness Anahit.

One of the factory workers was on his way home from work when the explosion took place. He was calling his co-workers to find out if they were inside, but couldn't contact them.
