Armenia's efforts in the fight against trafficking are receiving decent responses," as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armenia is taking remarkable steps in reinforcing the fight against human trafficking, raising effectiveness of preventive measures and supporting people who have become victims of human trafficking.
The progress was seen in the U.S. State Department's Annual Human Trafficking Report, which touches upon the situation in different countries and the steps being taken by countries against this crime.
Taking into account the steps taken by the Armenian government against human trafficking, such as criminal persecution, protection and prevention of human trafficking, Armenia has made the transition from being in the list of second group countries under supervision to the second group of countries.
Armenia has taken the responsibility to take further action in turning the protection of the rights of citizens and the victims more complete and comprehensive.
