Editor-in-chief of "Zhamanak-Yerevan" daily Arman Babajanyan was arrested three years ago this day and a group of journalists expressed their complaints today during a protest held in front of the presidential residence.

But police did not let the journalists hold a protest. They pushed them away from the presidential residence, saying that they were not allowed to stand there. The police were pushing both protesters and journalists covering the event.

Top level police officer Valery Osipyan tried to convince protesters that they were disturbing order, but there were only 100 protesters. Varlery Osipyan suggested that they go to Lovers' Park and have a cup of coffee.

Journalists declared that the police were violating their constitutional right to hold a protest. Former political prisoner Vardges Gaspar, who was also participating in the demonstration, lay on the ground and said that this was his Homeland and he would go when he wanted to.

The protest ended thirty minutes later and it took as long as the protesters had scheduled.

Let us remind that Arman Babajanyan was charged with escaping military service and is sentenced to 3.5 years in jail.
