Armenian boxers reach 1/4 finals
Three Armenian boxers have reached the quarterfinal in the World Boxing Championship in Milan.
In the 1/8 final Azat Hovhannesyan (57 kg) defeated Italy's Alessio di Savino by the score of 14:7 and Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg) beat Ireland's Darren O'Neill - 7:3.
On September 9, Azat Hovhannesyan will fight Mexico's Oscar Valdes. Andranik Hakobyan will try a fall with Moldova's Viktor Kotyuzhankky and Hovhannes Danielyan with Mongolia's Serdamba Purevdorj.
If slipping to the semifinal, the boxers will have an opportunity to qualify for bronze.
