Campaign against “complicated” visa process
European Movement in Armenia NGO has launched a campaign in support of visa facilitation and liberalisation.
The Visa Facilitation and Liberalisation Petition to EU and its member States was created and written by Viktor Yengibaryan, President of the European Movement in Armenia NGO.
The petition is available on http://www.petitiononline.com/EUVisa/petition.html.
Citizens of Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Belorussia, Ukraine and EU are welcome to sign the petition which reads:
"We, the citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and EU ask the Member states of the European Union and the European Union to offer all six EaP countries roadmaps towards visa free regimes and waive visa fees as soon as possible. As a first step simplify/streamline visa procedures and provide multiple-entry long term visas."
"We understand why European states create complications in receiving entry visas, and from this standpoint, our states likewise have serious work to do, though one thing is clear, that the increase in the amount of collaboration between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries can bring about positive changes... And finally, without contact between students, youth, scientists, businessmen and civil society approach cannot take place," said Viktor Yengibaryan.
