Handcar knocks down a man
A handcar knocked down a man aging 50-55 at Bayandur-Gyumri railway sector on December 15.
"South Caucasian Railways" Ltd reports that the driver could not notice the man on the rails through poor visibility. Besides, the man did not react to the handcar's honks. Emergency braking did not help in the given distance.
Residents of the nearby village were called to identify the dead man.
Investigation is underway.
Remind that six people have fallen victim to similar accidents in the railway over the last three months.
The Company says the fatalities were resulted by carelessness.
