Ecologists’ claim rejected
Armenia's Administrative Court today rejected the claim of Ekodar NGO vs. Armenian Government, Ministries of Nature Protection, Energy and Natural Resources as well as Armenian Copper Programme (ACP).
Ekodar demanded that the court invalidate a number of contracts permitting եxploitation of Teghut copper-molybdenum deposit.
During today's press conference head of " Ecodar" Hrayr Savzyan said the court decision was predictable. Moreover, it enables the NGO to take the case to international instances, such as the European Court of Human Rights or the Aarhus Committee which is already studying the NGO's claim.
