Participants of "dispute" remain unreleased
Today marked the end of 72 hours of arrest for those who were taken to the police station after a "dispute" that took place in the back of "Crazy Horse" café in Nor Nork district on April 17.
For over an hour, employees of the chief investigative department of the RA Police have been bringing the participants of the "dispute" to the first instance court of Kentron-Nork-Marash districts to extend their precautionary measure for 2 months with the accompaniment of special detachments.
The trials are behind closed doors and headed by Judge Armen Khachatryan. At the moment, we only managed to take photos of 4 detainees. There were many people in the court yard. The yard of the isolation camp for temporary detainees of Yerevan city was also full of people and there were different foreign cars parked in front of the isolation camp.
Let us remind that after the "dispute", police arrested 55 individuals and detained 36. Police found 12 guns, 3 "TT"s, 4 "Makarov"s, 2 barrels, one "Bereta" and one "Brevete" and one foreign gun and all of them were loaded. A criminal case has been brought up against one fact under Point 1, Part 3 of Article 258 and Part 1 of Article 235 of the RA Penal Code for hooliganism, as well as keeping and carrying illegal weapons and ammunition.
Although the police disseminated a statement according to which the participants were not members of any political party or non-governmental organizations, the presses showed photos of members of BHK (Prosperous Armenia) party and the HHK (Republican Party of Armenia).
