Collection of signatures in Yerevan
Collection of signatures is due on May near Yerevan's Tamanyan Statue. The campaign initiated by a civil movement seeks to pick up signatures in protection of Students' Garden.
The garden is periled by a large-scale construction work threatening to turn the green area into a concrete building.
The movement demands to stop the construction and return the garden to public.
"More than 2300 people have joined the campaign in a week and we shall do everything possible to halt this illegal construction. We seek to save our capital's gardens which are on the brink of destruction," reads a statement issued by the movement.
