A year after Nairit blast

Exactly a year ago Nairit chemical plant located in Yerevan outskirts was rocked by a series of explosions followed by fire which left four employees dead and eight injured inside the premises of a chloroprene production shop.

They were Levon Levonian, 1959, foreman Hovhannes Hovhannisian, 1958, operator Vahan Grigorian, 1959, and locksmith Arthur Karapetian, 1970.

A monument will be unveiled in the territory of the plant in memory of the four victims.

Currently, the factory stands idle.
