Accident at midnight
At about 11:50 p.m. May 18, RA Police received a report on an accident in Yerevan's Baghramyan street, near the former embassy of the Unites States.
Under yet unknown circumstances Mercedes, -E320 13 OU 983, Mercedes -E320 12 RO 002 and Mitsubishi Pajero 90 UL 993 came into collision resulting in an unexpected fire in Mercedes -E320 13 OU 983.
The traffic was halted for half an hour, and the street was patrolled by traffic police.
In the result of the crash, four passengers were taken to St. Grigor Lusavoritch medical centre with injuries of different severity. Two of them reportedly are in the resuscitation unit
Among the injured are 67-year-old Ruben Avagyan, Rector of Yerevan's Mants University, 29-year-old Armen Sedrakyan, 23-year-old David Khachatryan, 29-year-old Sedrak Yesayan and Emil Sargsyan, the son of sports commentator Slava Sargsyan
Investigation is underway.
