Eva Rivas to sing today
The second semi-final of "Eurovision 2010" will be held in the Norwegian capital of Oslo this evening and will be broadcast by Public Television at 12 a.m.
The first to sing will be the representative of Lithuania, followed by Armenia's representative Eva Rivas, or Valeria Reshetnikova-Tsaturyan. She will sing the song "Apricot Stone". A tree will grow from the apricot stone on stage and there will be a fireworks display. Performing on stage will be duduk player Jivan Gasparyan as well.
There will be representatives of 17 countries performing today of which only 10 will have the chance to participate in the finals to be held on May 29. There will be representatives of 25 countries and 10 from each round. The representatives of Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Norway will perform in the final round.
Bookmakers say Armenia, Germany, Israel and Azerbaijan have the highest chances of winning.
Let us remind that Armenia is participating in the song contest for the 5th time. Representing Armenia in the past were Andre, Hayko (8th place each), Sirusho (4th place) and Inga and Anush Arshakyan (10th place).
