Forest is being eliminated
Deforestation continues at the forest between Arakelots Monastery and the basin of Kirants River in the former west sector of Ijevan region of Tavush province.
"In 8 hours, 11 bulldozers passed and there were about 12 cubic meters of wood in each of them," writer Vahram Tatikyan told "EcoLur". According to him, new roads are opened day after day and the bulldozers are going deeper into the heart of the forest. Some trucks don't have numbers and Vahram Tatikyan is certain that that is not sanitary deforestation.
