Births and deaths
There have been 21,198 births in Armenia in the first semester of 2010.
According to the Civil Acts Registry Agency of the RA Ministry of Justice, this number is 1,074 more compared to the same period last year.
In the first semester of this year, there have been 8,730 marriages, 1,552 divorces compared to 8,866 marriages and 1,501 divorces in the same period in 2009. In the same period, there have been 6,722 cases of determining the father compared to 6,538 cases in the same period last year and 66 children have been adopted compared to 60 last year.
In the first semester of 2010, there have been 14,447 deaths in Armenia compared to 14,465 cases in the same period last year.
