Ice-cream price up in Armenia
Grand Candy Company has increased the price of ice-cream.
"In the morning I was surprised to find the prices of ice-cream up by 20%?" says Nune Danielyan.
"Despite the new price, people continue buying ice-cream. They make inquires and want to know the reason for the advance in prices. But where should I know?" said a saleswoman.
Victor Ghazarian, Deputy Head of the Department of Commerce, told "A1 +" that the increase in prices is determined by the advanced prices of raw material.
"The prices of milk powder and butter have gone in Belarus over the last 2-3 weeks, and we could not simply sell our product at the same price," he said.
Victor Ghazarian is concerned that the new prices will attract fewer buyers.
