Class suit rejected
The Administrative Court of Armenia today rejected a class suit filed by the Armenian National Congress (HAK).
HAK had appealed to the Administrative Court against the raise in gas tariff. The HAK claim, signed by 7,230 RA citizens, demanded that court annul the ruling on gas price.
Judge Karine Baghdasaryan today read the verdict in an empty hall. The claim was considered in written form though the claimant demanded an oral proceeding.
Starting April 1, gas prices went up from AMD 96 to 132 per cu m in Armenia. Enterprises consuming over 10 000 cubic meters monthly pay $243.13 per 1000 cu m instead of former $215.
