Willow chopped down before Medvedev’s visit
The willow standing near the bridge on Yerevan Swan Lake "has disappeared." It turns out to have been chopped down ahead of Russian President Dmitri Medvedev's visit to Armenia.
"The tree was completely rotten and it could fall any moment. We plan to plant a new willow in its place in spring," said Suren Maksapetyan, the chief dendrologist of Yerevan City.
