Regional televisions didn’t apply
There are only three television stations from Tavush, Lori and Gegharkunik participating in the NCTR's broadcasting tenders, including "Tavush-TV", "Fortuna" and "Geghama Media Holding".
Today "A1+" tried to talk to heads of the television stations that didn't apply for the tender.
Director of "Lori" Television Narine Avetisyan preferred not to give any commentary.
"We had a wonderful offer to participate, but we didn't find it appropriate at the last minute," said Avetisyan.
Head of "Ankyun+" Television Sos Siradeghyan also didn't wish to comment. As far as the television stations in Sevan, it turns out that three of them have joined and created a joint "Geghama Media Holding" LTD.
Executive director of the holding Suren Barseghyan told "A1+" that the "Martuni TV", "Sevan TV1" and "Kyavar TV" have teamed up.
"These three private television companies already have their equal shares in "Geghama Media Holding", that is, 33 percent of shares. We are getting ready to take part in the tender by the order prescribed by the law," said Barseghyan.
According to "A1+"'s sources, the executive director of "Kyavar TV" changed recently for some reason.
As far as the other tenders for regional broadcasting are concerned, the companies must submit applications and the required documents to the NCTR in the period from October 17 to 27, 2010.
