Suitcase left on the runway causes fuss in Paris airport
On October 30, a plane belonging to Air France Company left Paris for Yerevan 1.5-hour delay. The reason for the delay was a suitcase left on the runway under mysterious circumstances. No one knew how the suitcase, which gridlocked Charles de Gaulle Airport of the French capital, appeared on the landing strip.
All passengers were asked to stay away from the windows. Minutes later a security officer went to the suitcase with a special device. Making sure that the suitcase did not contained an explosive he unpacked it and began examining the content. Soon, he was joined by other employees.
After the "operation", which lasted 20 minutes, the suitcase was taken away.
In the meantime, the passengers watched the scene from the airport windows photographing and videotaping the mysterious suitcase.
There were ten reporters among the passengers, who were returning from Rabat. They were in Morocco to participate in a seminar "ENPand Neighbourhood Security: Developments in Morocco."
Note that airport employees did not prohibit videotaping the scene.
