“The state has no right to interfere”
"Nairit is not state property and the state has no right to interfere in the factory's economic activity," Head of the Armenian presidential administration Karen Karapetyan said during a meeting with the employees of Nairit Plant on November 12.
According to Mr. Karapetyan, the state is concerned over the fate of the chemical plant and the social conditions of its citizens who have not received wages for months.
"President Serzh Sargsyan has already instructed the relevant bodies to take action to pay the wages during the next 10 days and the remaining sum within a month," said the head of the Armenian presidential administration.
The employees of Nairit Plant CJSC today held a procession towards the presidential residence to voice their protest over the non-payment of wages.
