St. Astvatsatsin Church opens in Shahumyan village
On November 28, Armavir's Shahumyan village hosted the opening ceremony of St. Astvatsatsin Church. The construction started in 2009 with the financial support of benefactor Karen Hovhannisyan, a former resident of Shahumyan.
The leader of Armavir Diocese Bishop Sion Adamian consecrated a church in the presence of the congregation.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
