The deadline for submitting applications for the NAS academicians and corresponding members has expired.

Sixty-nine scientists have applied for the announced 22 seats. Elections are due on December 27-28 in the premises of the National Academy of Sciences.

Presently, the Academy has 62 academicians and 51 corresponding members.
