Protests against foreign language schools continue
"We are against the Re-opening of Foreign Language Schools" Initiative today staged a picket outside the Armenian parliament voicing protest against the bills on introducing amendments to the RA Laws on Language and Public Education.
The bills allow opening foreign-language schools in Armenia. The picketers argue that Armenian will become a rural language as soon as the law is enacted and call on Armenian deputies to vote down the bill.
The group dispersed after learning that the disputable amendments will not be discussed in today sitting.
