This year the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church celebrates the day of Patriarch St. Hakob Mtsnba on December 18.
On that occasion, the Holy Relic of Skanchelagorts (Wonderworker) Patriarch Hakob Mtsnba will be transferred to the St. Hakob Church in the Kanaker-Zeytun community of the Araratian Patriarchal Diocese from the Treasury of Holy Etchmiadzin under leadership of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
Spiritual pastor of the "Ararat" Union of St. Sargis Church of the Araratian Patriarchal Diocese, Father Hakob Khachatryan will serve a Holy Mass at the St. Hakob Church. The Holy Mass will end with a blessing of those named Hakob and families named Hakobyan.
The pious will have a chance to see the Holy Relic and receive good wishes from Patriarch St. Hakob Mtsnba. Patriarch Hakob Mtsnba is considered to be the patron of keeping people away from illnesses and tribulations.
The Holy Mass will begin at 11 a.m., while the blessing and the adoration of the Holy Relic will begin at 12:30 p.m.
