RA citizens with hunter's certificates and a certificate for carrying a hunter's gun in case of hunting with arms are allowed to hunt wolves, as stated in the press release of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection.

Wolves are hunted with (a) a hunter's gun with a smooth muzzle, (b) a rifle and (c) traps.

In special cases, wolves in Armenia can be killed without the above mentioned arms, if the wolves can or do damage human life or activities.

In that case, other tools and accessories can be used for killing wolves and the head of the local self-government body of the given district confirms a document on that.

Hunters must be registered by the commission in charge of ensuring measures for regulating the number of wolves created by the decree of the RA Minister of Nature Protection. Hunters must submit the skin of the wolf to the commission no later than 10 days after the hunting.

Let us remind that the RA Ministry of Nature Protection has developed an order for regulating the number of wolves and implementing measures which was confirmed during today's government session.

According to the government decision, a 100,000 drams prize has been set for each head. The RA Government will allocate 10 million drams from the reserve fund to the RA Ministry of Nature Protection in the first quarter of 2011.
