Ticket prices up in Armenia
A number of airline companies, including Armavia and Aeroflot air carriers, have raised the ticket prices for a number of directions.
Director of Aeroflot Company Vadim Kovalenko explained the rise in prices by the sharp increase in fuel prices.
"The cost of living is rising. This is a global tendency we are unable to resist or combat. Today a tone of fuel costs $170," said Mr. Kovalenko.
According to Armane Tour Agency, a few days ago a Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan flight cost AMD 120,000, whereas the ticket costs AMD 170,000. A number of ticket agencies confirmed the price rise. The most interesting is that Armavia has announced a 25% discount for women during Women's Month and immediately raised ticket prices.
Note that the price of crude oil has gone up by 15% on international markets.
