Russian football fans detained in Yerevan
Several Russian football fans who arrived in Yerevan on Thursday to watch the Armenia-Russia qualifier due on March 26 have been arrested at Yerevan's international airport, RA Police press service reported.
Earlier in the day, the police departments at Zvartnots international airport received a report that an act of hooliganism had occurred on board the plane flying from Moscow to Yerevan.
After the plane's landing Russian citizens Anton V. (born in 1970), Bogdan A. (born in 1980), Sergey S. (born in 1982) and a few others were arrested and taken to police stations.
The Russian fans reportedly quarreled in the plane, abusing and beating each other and disrupting public order.
