A talking parrot named Coco has attracted the attention of Yerevan citizens with its ability "to sing."

Coco lives in a workshop of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory where the parrot first appeared in 2008.

It took piano tuner Khachik Hachi-Hakobyan six months to teach the parrot to whistle a famous Armenian song - Ashtarak's walnut.

"Parrots are clever birds. They can learn almost everything in the course of time. You just need to be armed with patience," said the piano tuner.

Coco devotes his songs to his girl-friend Simi. Parrots are probably most famous for their ability to sing -a method used to attract hen birds.
